Strong communities are well connected communities. As your City Councillor I will support and aid in the development of projects that will provide opportunities to get to know your neighbours, build stronger relationships, and promote safety and inclusion in Mynarski.
HEALTHY
A lack of housing, burnt out buildings, poor active transportation options, food security, a lack of youth programming, addictions and mental health supports - these are all items that affect health and wellness in the ward. The ongoing budget cuts and neglect of our inner-city is creating a public health crisis that must be addressed.
AFFORDABLE
While Mynarski is home to some of Winnipeg’s most historic and innovative businesses, today, the ability to support your family from within our ward is extremely limited. A strong partnership between the City, Province, Economic Renewal Corporations, and local business owners is key to building up Main Street and Selkirk Avenue, providing good local jobs, and making Mynarski a destination that the rest of Winnipeg wants to visit.
Your City Councillor should be an advocate for you and your greater community. Their platform should reflect the priorities and values that are most important to the residents in the ward they represent.
